Applies To: All staff writers, editors, contributors, guest writers, and YouTuber contributors

1. Editorial Mission

Capitalistic Approach Media is committed to accurate, fair, and responsible journalism. Our mission is to inform the public through verified reporting, thoughtful analysis, and clearly labeled opinion without distortion, deception, or undisclosed agendas.

We prioritize:

  • Accuracy over speed
  • Transparency over sensationalism
  • Accountability over virality

2. Editorial Independence

All editorial decisions are made independently of advertisers, sponsors, contributors, or outside parties.
No contributor regardless of audience size or platform has authority over editorial judgment, headlines, framing, or publication decisions.

3. Content Types & Classification

All published content must fall into one of the following clearly defined categories and be labeled accordingly.
  • News Reporting
  • Fact-based
  • Supported by verifiable sources
  • No speculation, exaggeration, or personal opinion
  • Must answer who, what, when, where, and how

Analysis

  • Interpretation of verified facts
  • Contextual or explanatory in nature
  • Must not introduce unverified claims
  • Clearly labeled as analysis
  • Opinion / Commentary
  • Personal views, perspectives, or arguments
  • Must be clearly labeled as opinion
  • Cannot be presented as factual reporting

Important Standard:

Content originally presented as YouTube commentary does not automatically qualify as news reporting when adapted for publication.

4. Accuracy, Sources, and Verification

Accuracy is mandatory. Contributors must:
  • Verify information before submission
  • Use primary sources whenever possible
  • Clearly distinguish facts from opinions
  • Avoid presenting rumors, speculation, or assumptions as truth
  • Acceptable sources include:
  • Public records
  • Court documents
  • Government data
  • On-the-record interviews
  • Credible first-hand accounts

Unacceptable substitutes for verification:

  • Viral clips
  • Social media posts
  • Screenshots without context
  • “Everyone is saying” claims

Editorial Principle:

Popularity does not determine accuracy.

5. Repurposed Video Content Standards (YouTuber Contributors)

  • When articles are derived from YouTube videos, live streams, or other creator content:
  • Speculative or exaggerated language must be removed
  • Opinions must be clearly labeled
  • Factual claims must be verified independently
  • Context may be added by editors
  • Disclaimers may be applied where appropriate
Capitalistic Approach Media retains full editorial control over how video content is translated into written journalism.
Publication on this platform does not imply endorsement of how the content was framed on external platforms.

6. Editorial Review & Control

All content is subject to editorial review.

Editors reserve the right to:

  • Edit for clarity, accuracy, tone, and legal compliance
  • Change headlines and formatting
  • Request revisions
  • Add disclaimers or clarifications
  • Decline or remove content at any time
  • Submission does not guarantee publication.

7. Conflicts of Interest & Disclosure

Contributors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, including but not limited to:
  • Financial interests
  • Sponsorships or brand deals
  • Affiliate relationships
  • Fundraising tied to the subject matter
  • Personal or legal involvement in a story
  • Undisclosed conflicts are grounds for content removal and contributor termination.

Standard:

Contributors may not use the platform to advance undisclosed personal, financial, or legal interests.

8. Monetization & Compensation Transparency

  • Capitalistic Approach Media does not offer automatic compensation for contributions.
  • Compensation, when offered, is:
  • Performance-based
  • Case-by-case
  • Or tied to separate licensing agreements
  • Advertising revenue is not shared with contributors.
  • Licensing arrangements, if applicable, are governed by separate written agreements.

9. Corrections & Updates

  • Errors will be corrected promptly and transparently.
  • Corrections may include:
  • Updates to the article
  • Editor’s notes
  • Clarifications appended to the content
  • Contributors are expected to cooperate fully in the correction process.

10. Contributor Conduct Outside the Platform

While Capitalistic Approach Media does not control external platforms, contributors must understand:
Content published here must meet editorial standards regardless of how it is framed elsewhere
Repeated off-platform conduct that undermines credibility may result in review or termination of contributor status

11. Removal & Termination

Capitalistic Approach Media reserves the right to:
  • Remove content
  • Suspend contributors
  • Terminate contributor relationships
  • This may occur for:
  • Repeated inaccuracies
  • Ethical violations
  • Failure to disclose conflicts
  • Legal risk to the platform

12. Commitment to the Public

Our responsibility is to the public first. Trust, accuracy, and accountability are non-negotiable.
